My first experience with the Lord happened at age 16 when our school had a missionary speaker at a special meeting. There was an altar call and the Holy Spirit was moving. I had to approach the altar and I didn't understand why. There was little follow up after that experience, and I quickly fell back to life without any thought of Christ.
When I graduated from Booth Memorial High School, I went to work with my Dad's construction company, building wharfs and dredging harbors. While working on a job in 1975 in Port Aux Choix, I met my wife Clarice Mahar, and six month later we were married.
Three years later the Lord was moving again in my life. My mother recently was saved and she gave me a book to read about Bible prophesy. The Lord responded to my mother's prayers to open my eyes, and that following Sunday I went forward for salvation, repented of my sins and trusted Jesus as my Saviour.
At that time the Lord changed my life and changed the way I thought, giving me a peace and joy I'd never had.
"But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19
