Everything We Need

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

When we think of needs we usually equate them with necessities: food, clothing, shelter, etc., the basics. But God has already provided us as Christians with everything we need. Do you know that His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness? "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:19. We can live by faith in Jesus alone. He will meet all your needs because He promised this, and He cannot fail or break any promise. Christ is all you and I need. The hymn states, "Take the world, but give me Jesus, He’s all I need." Can you say "Take this whole world and all that it offers, I’m not interested, just give me what I need, give me Jesus." Don’t turn back. He is everything you need. Once you have decided to follow Jesus there should be no turning back because He provided everything we need for victory. We can claim the promise that "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phillipians 4:13. In Philippians 1:21, the Apostle Paul stated, "For me to live is Christ." He really is all we need.
